Dating Your Spouse Into Old Age

Finding true love and settling down, for many of us, warrants a feeling of relief and comfort. You can finally say goodbye to the games and heartbreak that dating sometimes ensues. The loneliness is now replaced with a feeling of belonging and security. The loving monogamist relationship you have yearned for has taken place of the uncertainly you feel when you're single.

However, do you find yourself wondering where the romance went? What happened to the person you feel in love with? The months and years of dating where filled with walks on the beach, romantic dinners, picnics in the park. Remember the feeling of getting to know one another, remember the chase? Do you miss that feeling you got in the pit of your stomach as they moved in to kiss you goodnight or even the first time you held hands? Suddenly those things are replaced with the endearing feeling of comfort and monotony.

Don't let dating your sweetheart fall by the wayside! It's so easy to get into a routine, many long-term relationships do. Just being together just isn't enough for a strong and healthy relationship. However, "dating" your partner will warrant a strong and healthy romance with the one that you love. Make it a point to continue this quality time, even after you say your "I do's." Make sure to let your sweetheart know that you want the romance to continue and you desire the feeling of attraction you have for them. Put some effort into thinking of new things you can experience with each other. Whether it's sky diving or a new restaurant in town. Dating is just as important after the vows as it was before. In fact, it's probably MORE important!

As for the bedroom... Monotony can happen there as well. Time, stress, kids, can all take a toll on your sex life. And this doesn't just affect women either. Men can also become less enthusiastic about keeping sex alive in a monogomist relationship. Who really wants a sexless marriage anyhow?
Make sure that you commit to having intercourse with your spouse at least 2-3 times per week. My advice is once every third day. Two days off between romps in the sheets. Not only does this help to spice up your love life but it will also keep your hormone levels where they need to be to eleaviate stress and depression. Don't leave out the fun stuff either! Massage oils, tasty likeable lotions and even sex toys can brighten up any dreary bedroom. A healthy sex life can give a facelift to many relationship problems too. After all, how can you fight or argue with someone who just knocked your sox off the night before?

Bad Idea!!

The other day I ran into a news story about a Maryland couple who had a "bright idea" about making their own sex toy. From what I gathered, this genius couple took a typical dildo and inserted a reciprocal saw into it. I suppose they thought that the motion of the saw would generate more pleasure than simply moving the device in and out by hand.

I don't know if I need to say how the story ended. Let's just say the poor woman ended up severely injured and the story left me squirming in my chair. As most of you are doing right as you read this.

So here is a warning for all of you... Do not let your man bring power tools or anything else that belongs in the garage into your bedroom!

Blogging...

It's about time I hop on the ban wagon and start a blog. I hope you find it informative, uplifting and full of tips and ideas to spice up your love life. Let's face it, most of us in committed relationships tend to slowly let comfort take over passion. We find ourselves slipping into an endless pit of the "same ol' thing" in the bed room. Some of us have never even felt comfortable enough to explore ourselves, let alone our partner.

Today is the first day of the rest of your love life!
